Book 1: The Demon from Pansy Lane

When an ancient demon gets accidentally summoned to a crumbling house on Pansy Lane, he expects the usual: terror, screaming, desperate wishes for wealth and power.

What he finds instead is far more intriguing. And so far out of his fiery comfort zone, it could well be in another dimention.

Azathar the Unmerciful has spent six hundred years granting wishes with devastating ironic consequences. He's destroyed kingdoms, ended bloodlines, and perfected the art of ruining lives with technically accurate wish fulfillment. He is very good at being a demon.

She was kind to me.
And?" Gerald prompted.
And... no one is kind to me. Ever. Without wanting something in return." The words came out rougher than he'd intended. "She wanted to feed me. With the last eggs in her refrigerator. She has nothing, and she wanted to give it to me anyway.

Then he gets summoned by someone who's mere existence challenges his world view.

Before he can escape, Azathar makes a bold wager: live as a human for thirty days. If afterwards he still thinks humans are worthless parasites, he wins. And since he is an immensly powerful being, losing to a human shouldn't even cross his mind...

Right?

What starts as a bet becomes a lesson in humanity, and a battle to save a hopeless community which suddenly feels more important than six centuries of demonic superiority.

The book is interesting from the start. It pulls you in from the beginning. The characters are real and likable. There’s a lot of character development from “Patrick” and the cats are freaking hilarious. Very well done

I didn’t know what to expect with this book, but I loved it. Such a great story. Grabs your attention in the first chapter and continues on in that way. I definitely want to read more from Scarlett Noone.

Book 2: Mayhem on Pansy Lane

Since Azathar, the six-hundred-year-old demon of fire and destruction, decided to stay in a quiet neighborhood of Pansy Lane, things could not have been better.

He found the family he never knew he needed, and even started to actually make friends. But what seems light and cozy on the surface, rarely stays that way.

You spent six centuries making people afraid of you. That's efficient. Predictable. You know where you stand with someone who's afraid. Now you want something different. You want someone to look at you and not be afraid. And you don't know what to do when that has to be earned instead of performed.

What happens when the truth comes out? Can the people he cares about handle it? Can they look past their fear and their own bias and see him for what he became?

Redemption might not be the only thing he has to fight for, when the wrong people uncover his true nature to use it for their own agenda.
